A memorial book about your pet, about what they did

The chair she always sat in. The time he woke you. The sound at the door. That stays. This book puts it on paper, in your words and with your photos.

A book about the life, not the end

The book is about what your pet did. Where he slept, what she brought in, who he came running for. You write in the past tense, and so does the book. The end does not have to be in it. If you want it in, you can give it a page of its own.

The book is made no differently from a book about a pet that is still here. The same questions, the same pages. The difference is in your answers.

How you make it

  1. Type the name and choose one photo. The cover appears as you type.
  2. Answer seven short questions. Skip what you do not want to answer. Take the questions at your own pace.
  3. Add photos if you have them. One is enough.
  4. Pay €6.99. No account needed.
  5. About ten minutes later the book is at a private link, with a PDF.

If you have few photos

One photo is enough. Where photos are missing, there is a drawing of your pet, in pencil and wash, made from the photo on the cover. You can have a drawing made again until it looks right.

You read everything before it is printed

Every page can be changed: change the words, have a page rewritten with a note, swap a photo, put a drawing where a photo was. Nothing is final until you say so.

Share it with everyone who loved them

The book page makes a share link. Anyone with it reads the whole book on their phone and cannot change it. You can stop the link at any time.

Digital, and printed if you like

You read the digital book on your phone and download it as a PDF. From the digital book you order the hardcover: hard cover, 28 pages, 20 × 20 cm, shipped to the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and France.

Example: Luna's book

Luna was a cat, 2009 to 2025. Her book is about ten to six on Tom's chest, about boxes that were hers, and about leaves she carried in one by one. Bommel was a rabbit, 2017 to 2025; his book is in the past tense too. Both are examples, not customers.

Questions

My pet has died. Can I still make the book?

Yes. Write in the past tense and so does the book. It stays a book about what they did.

Does the death have to be in the book?

No. The questions are about ordinary things: where he slept, what she stole, what startled him. If you want the end in it, change a page or have one rewritten.

I only have a few photos. Is that enough?

One photo is enough. Where photos are missing, there is a drawing of your pet, made from the cover photo.

Can someone else make the book for me?

Yes. They need photos and the things only someone who knew the animal knows. Then they give you the private link, and you can change any page yourself.

How long are the book and the photos kept?

A year after the book is ready, or a year after a hardcover order. You get an email a month and a week before with the date, and one click keeps the book another year. You can download the PDF at any time.
