Gifts for dog owners are mostly things for the dog, or things with a paw print on them. This one is about one dog: the sofa that is his, the word that makes her jump, what he does when the visitors put on their coats. The owner knows all of that, so the owner makes it.
How the gift works
- Say who it is for, the dog's name if you know it, and a message.
- You get a link, a card to print and an image for your phone. Or we email the gift with your message at eight in the morning on the day you choose.
- The owner unwraps it, types the dog's name, adds photos and answers eight short questions.
- About ten minutes later the book is on their screen. With the hardcover gift, the printed book comes to their door as well. You hear when it is ready.
What they get
A book of 28 pages, 20 × 20 cm, about their dog. The text comes from their own answers and the photos are theirs. There are drawings of the dog too, made from the photos: the fewer photos, the more drawings. They read it all and can change any page before it is printed.
You need no photo and no answers
You do not have to know where the dog sleeps or what it steals, and you do not need a photo. That is the owner's part. It also keeps the gift a surprise, because you ask them nothing beforehand. The gift is valid for 3 years, so they can make it when there is time, and they never see the price.

The hardcover is shipped to the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and France. If the owner lives anywhere else, give the eBook gift: the same book, to read on screen and download.
If they have a cat
The same gift works for a cat owner. When they choose cat, the questions change: what the cat brings in, which box is its own, who it lets near.
Or make the book yourself
If you know the dog well, you can make the book yourself: answer the questions about the dog, add your own photos and pass on the private link. Anyone with that link can change any page, so the owner can fill in what you did not know and order the hardcover later.

2 years after your last visit to the book. One email a month before, and one click keeps the book another 2 years.
